A Life Care Plan is a detailed plan that addresses an injured or disabled client’s lifetime care related to an injury or disability. Life Care Plans include an extensive narrative that details how an injury/disease has affected a client’s life and what they are projected to need in the future related to that injury/disease. The Life Care Plan includes detailed tables that highlight medical and non-medical expenses.
Life Care Plans have been used in the past for:
- Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI)
- Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI)
- Amputations
- Complex Regional Pain Syndrome/Reflex Sympathy Dystrophy Syndrome (CRPS/RSDS)
- Major Burns
- Multi-trauma
- Cerebral palsy
